After a quietly dropped announcement, the long-awaited moment for all lovers of good food and Made in Marche excellence has finally arrived.
Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, Chef Elis Marchetti will inaugurate his Food Truck, a charming little van designed to serve gourmet street food and creative apericena by the sea.
Marchetti — a well-known Ancona-born chef, TV personality (La Prova del Cuoco, Facile Cucina, Finalmente Domenica) and now owner of Villa Amalia Restaurant in Falconara Marittima — has embraced this new gastronomic challenge with enthusiasm. His goal: to bring a street-style reinterpretation of Marche’s most beloved flavors to one of the city’s most scenic spots, with options for both vegetarians and gluten-free guests.
The menus, inspired by Ancona, the Conero Park, and the Passetto area, promise a culinary journey across the region: from eggplant cappuccino with Casciotta d’Urbino to saffron potato mousse from Colfiorito with ciauscolo bon-bons.
Everything will be paired with over 30 labels of Marche wines and sparkling selections, as well as the craft beers from Birrificio di Fano.
After the opening night on August 10 — featuring bubbles and delicacies prepared by Chef Marchetti and his team — the Food Truck will reopen on August 13, serving locals and visitors alike from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., continuing through October.
