The young Francesco Tonti, 34-year-old founder of Giochi Anconetani, continues to celebrate Ancona’s spirit, characters, and traditions through creativity and play.
After the success of his board games — Coneropoly, Tombolò, and Carte Anconetane — he’s now launched a new and original idea: the Majete Anconetane, a line of T-shirts unveiled during the San Ciriaco Tombola, in collaboration with the Croce Gialla di Ancona.

The project revives some of the city’s most iconic Doric expressions, from “Che Magò” to the legendary “A discore n’è fadiga” — a phrase famously uttered by Barigello, the Ancona citizen who defied the Blackshirts.
After being severely beaten, he retracted with the ironic remark: “Adè è fadiga pure a discore” (“Now even speaking is hard”).

Available in five unisex sizes and two color variants (white or black), the Majete Anconetane T-shirts can be purchased on the official website giochianconetani.it for €29.99.

“I’m trying to promote my city,” says Tonti, “first by celebrating its local figures with Carte Anconetane, then its dialect through Tombolò and now with Majete Anconetane.”

And this is just the beginning: the versatile 34-year-old has several new projects in the works — from Ancona-themed hoodies to a brand-new board game expected to launch in October — along with other surprises he’s keeping secret for now.
