From May 17 to 23, the city of Ancona will host the 12th edition of Tipicità in Blu, the festival that explores the sea in all its dimensions — from food and fishing to boating, shipbuilding, culture, and research.

An unmissable event for enthusiasts, professionals, and curious visitors, Tipicità in Blu offers a week dedicated to the blue economy, to hands-on experiences connected to the sea, and to the potential of marine innovation.
Throughout the city, visitors will enjoy meetings, tastings, cultural events, and competitions, discovering a new and dynamic relationship between the sea and sustainable development.


🗓️ The Program

May 17–18 | Weekend Blu
At Marina Dorica, the festival opens with the Sailing Chef Regatta, a sailing competition that combines sport and culinary creativity, celebrating local seafood and zero-kilometer products.
Chef Paolo Antinori will lead exclusive tastings, while live music, art, and dockside cuisine create a festive atmosphere.
Menus from Menù in Blu and Aperiblu will be available until May 24.
On May 18, the Conerissimo Regatta takes place, along with a special event on “neglected species of the sea” and the presentation and tasting of the book “Conero in Pillole – A Journey through Cuisine and History” by Andrea Bevilacqua.

May 17 | Blu Tours and Exhibitions
At the Mole Vanvitelliana, visitors can take part in Blu Tours, guided itineraries led by young students, and visit the exhibition “Boats and Ships”, a multi-sensory journey through shapes, structures, and materials.
Tasting: “Small Fisheries & Great Beers” — local seafood paired with Conero wines.

May 19–20 | Blue Economy & Education
The week continues with a focus on education and innovation, featuring students in an interactive Escape Room themed “The Sea Challenge.”

May 21–22 | Tipicità Lights Up the Passetto
Professional meetings dedicated to nautical design, creativity, and innovative skills, plus an educational workshop for children on healthy seafood.
On May 21, the official launch of the Grand Tour of Marche will take place in the scenic setting of the Passetto.

May 22–23 | The Blue Way Hackathon
The Polytechnic University of Marche hosts the second edition of a 48-hour challenge where innovators and researchers design new solutions for the future of the Blue Economy.

May 23 | Open Shipyards Forum
The festival closes with “Cantieri Aperti”, a high-level discussion on the growth and sustainability prospects of the maritime sector.
