The “Berta Filava” Literary Festival returns to Sirolo, the place where it was born and still beats at the heart of a cultural project that blends writing, reflection, and music. From July 10 to 12, the charming Piazza Vittorio Veneto will host the fifth edition of the festival — three days dedicated to literary and musical art.

Conceived by Laura Fagioli and Magnolia Burini, respectively Artistic Director and Head of Organization, the event has fostered a true community where stories intertwine, bringing together readers, authors, artists, and volunteers — all united under the motto: “We are the people of Berta Filava.”
A collective identity that is both affectionate and ironic. After all, to spin the thread — filare — is, in a way, the writing of dreamers. And in Sirolo, for three nights, dreamers we shall all be.

To celebrate this year’s edition, the organizers have decided to weave books and music together. The festival will feature renowned Italian musicians such as Zibba, Luca Carocci, and Alessandro Pellegrini — singer-songwriters known for their deep connection with writing and words.

The theme for 2025 is “Scrivimi – Scriviti” (“Write to Me – Write Yourself”), an invitation to look within and toward others, to build relationships through words. Writing and reading, after all, are not just solitary acts but opportunities for connection and mutual recognition.
