The city of Ancona is gearing up to celebrate Carnival with all the colors, music, and energy that come with it — this year with an exciting new format. On Saturday, March 1st, the city will come alive for a day of joy and creativity, inviting everyone to wear a costume and fill the historic center with music, laughter, and color.
In the afternoon, the grand parade will march along Corso Garibaldi, ending in Piazza Cavour, where a spectacular open-air Carnival party will begin at 9:30 p.m. and continue late into the evening.
Ancona is dressing up for the occasion and invites citizens and visitors alike to join the celebration with their most original costumes. A costume contest will reward the most creative participants with special prizes during the parade.

Awards will be given in the following categories:
-
