Offagna is ready to turn back the clock. From July 19 to 26, one of Italy’s most beautiful medieval villages will once again host the Medieval Festival, one of the oldest and most renowned historical reenactments in the Marche region.

For eight days, from afternoon until late at night, the historic center will transform into a living medieval stage, filled with costumed parades, duels, artisan markets, fire shows, falconry, music, ancient crafts, and traditional flavors.

The program is rich and continuous, involving the town’s four historic districts: San Bernardino, Torrione, Croce, and Sacramento.
Among the most anticipated moments: the armed tournament, the historical parade, the Joust of the Knights of Arezzo, and the investiture ceremony of the Knights of the Crescia.

Saturday, July 19

  • 🕗 8:00 p.m. – Opening ceremony organized by the four districts

  • 🕙 10:00 p.m. – Joust of the Knights of Arezzo, Piazza della Contesa

Sunday, July 20

  • Historical parade with over 300 participants in costume

  • Offering of the candle and blessing of the Palio

Monday, July 21 & Tuesday, July 22

  • Armed contest among the districts, using period weapons and rules inspired by Osimo’s 1485 statutes

  • Award ceremony for the winning district

Wednesday, July 23

  • 🕥 10:30 p.m. – Performance by the Flag-Throwers of the Offagna Historical Group

Thursday, July 24

  • Medieval banquet in honor of the winning district, curated by Chef Edoardo Staffolani of Il Cresciolo restaurant

Friday, July 25

  • 🕚 11:00 p.m. – Show “In Omne Tempus”, a musical and theatrical tribute to the Quest for the Holy Grail, by the Drummers of the Offagna Historical Group

Saturday, July 26

  • Investiture ceremony of the new Knights of the Crescia

  • 🎆 Midnight fireworks from the Rocca of Offagna
