Spring is blooming in Piazza Pertini, which in these days is transformed into an open-air garden thanks to the new edition of Ancona in Fiore, the event dedicated to the world of botany. Until Sunday 12 April, the heart of the city will host exhibitors from various regions, ready to showcase the season through flowers, plants, natural essences and handcrafted creations inspired by nature.

The event, now a regular fixture in Ancona’s spring calendar, offers an opportunity to rediscover the pleasure of being outdoors and to approach the world of greenery with a more attentive and conscious perspective.

Naturally, flowers and plants take centre stage: from the most common varieties to lesser-known species, including solutions suitable for terraces, balconies and small domestic spaces. Alongside live greenery, there are also natural products, essences, botanical preparations and solutions designed for those seeking a more sustainable approach to home and garden care. Green ideas are also featured: accessories, decorative objects, small furnishings and creative projects that reinterpret nature in a contemporary way, offering inspiration to bring a touch of spring into everyday environments.

Completing the exhibition route is a selection of nature-themed craftsmanship, with creations that combine simple materials, manual skills and floral inspiration. A dialogue between aesthetics and sustainability that perfectly reflects the spirit of the event.

Alongside the exhibition, the programme also includes moments for deeper insight. On Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April, starting from 5:00 p.m., free demonstrations dedicated to the art of bonsai will take place: an opportunity to closely observe the techniques, gestures and patience required to shape these living miniatures. A slow, almost meditative language that aligns well with the spirit of the event.

Ancona in Fiore thus confirms itself as a small seasonal ritual: a way to welcome spring in the city centre, among colours, nature and a more relaxed pace.
