To celebrate this timeless fascination with the stars, the Castelnuovo District Committee, with the patronage of the Municipality of Porto Recanati, presents the second edition of “Castelnuovo sotto le Stelle”, a festival dedicated to both the history of Porto Recanati and the wonder of the night sky.
On Friday, August 9, starting at 9:00 p.m., the eclectic Dr. Michele Barchiesi, passionate astronomer and science communicator, will return after last year’s enchanting evening dedicated to August constellations.
This year’s talk, titled “The Lords of Space and Time – A Journey through Dark Matter, Dark Energy, and Gravitational Waves,” will explore the mysteries of deep space — from gravitational waves to cosmic interconnections — shedding light on the crucial roles of dark matter and dark energy in shaping our universe.
