A conversation with Alessandra Fiorani, owner of the hotel Alessandra at Numana.
How and when was the hotel built?
Hotel Alessandra was born in 1969 thanks to the intuition of my father, a former Italian Air Force officer. He understood immediately the tourist potential of Numana and the Conero Riviera.
The management has always been a family-run business and today my son manages the hotel, along with its restaurant, while I'm in the kitchen. The hotel was completely renovated in 2005 and it’s open from April to late September.
What are the main features of the hotel?
Those who comes at our hotel has to feel at home. The entire hotel is decorated with furniture and objects that recall the daily life, and this style lends warmth and familiarity to the structure.
Same goes for the restaurant, where our guests find a genuine and simple cooking, specialized in traditional fish dishes. I like to call it "the grandmother's kitchen", because the fish is always fresh, the food quality is very high and the flavors are those of the past.
One of our strengths is the garden surrounding the property and the swimming pool, very much appreciated although the hotel Alessandra lies only a short distance from the beach of 'Numana Bassa'.
Just at this beach, we have an agreement with a beach resort and then we offer umbrellas and sun beds renting for our guests.
A feature of our structure is definitely the abundant breakfast buffet, rich and tasty, with fresh and homemade pastries. Our clientele is wide: mainly Italian families who want to spend their holidays at sea in the beautiful Riviera del Conero choose us.

The rooms are warm and cozy, classic style and equipped with every comfort, such as TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
