Here's a short trailer of the Church of St. Mary in Portonovo, located in the Bay at the foot of Mount Conero (Ancona).
The church, which overlooks the sea, is a remarkable example of Romanesque architecture. It has a five-aisled plant with an octagonal dome of Byzantine inspiration. Dating back to 1034, for nearly 700 years it was the only building in Portonovo Bay.
