Interview with Raffaele De Luca, owner of the farm holiday La Giuggiola of Ancona.
How and when the farm started?
The farm La Giuggiola started from an idea of our family in 1994: we were one of the first farm holiday in the Conero Riviera. We offer catering service and rooms and we are open all year, and our offer is not only for tourists in the Conero Riviera, but also for local customers looking for a good restaurant serving homemade food for lunch or dinner.
What are the main features of the farm?
We always work hard to make our guests feel part of the family.
The farm is located in a strategic position, very close to Ancona and Camerano, but also to the beautiful beaches of Numana and Sirolo, in the Natural Park of Monte Conero; this makes it an ideal place for those looking for a relaxing place, in the countryside.
The restaurant specializes in traditional cuisine of meat. In our menu cannot miss the gnocchi with duck, ravioli with rocket and sausage, roast suckling pig, the rich mixed grill and fried mixture of meat and vegetables. Very pleasing is our Antipastone: a selection of cheeses with honey or jam, cold cuts, mixed crostini, vegetables and fried mozzarell, which, accompanied by a glass of wine or beer, is in itself a good meal.
Then there are the desserts, all homemade, such as tiramisu or chocolate salami.
We also have 7 rooms, equipped with all the amenities for those who want to spend a wonderful vacation in the Riviera del Conero, away from the busy city, in the quiet of the Marche countryside. For our guests, every morning, we reserve a hearty breakfast buffet, with pies and homemade cakes.
What are the strengths of your offer?
In addition to the restaurant with its home cooking, a strong point is definitely the location.
We have large spaces for lunches and dinners both indoors and outdoors, a green manicured garden with comfortable benches to take a moment to relax after the meal, as well as slides and swings for children.
The farm La Giuggiola is an ideal place for those who want to catch some fresh air, while remaining very close to the city, perhaps for a business lunch or a dinner with friends. It is also a great place to celebrate a birthday, a graduation or a special occasion, in the nature of the Conero Riviera.
